So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, where David made a covenant with them before the LORD. And they anointed him king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD through Samuel.

And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz

Behold, I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. And when you strike the rock, water will come out of it for the people to drink.”So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.

The LORD brings this chargeagainst the elders and leaders of His people:“You have devoured the vineyard;the plunder of the poor is in your houses.

Then Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He summoned the elders, leaders, judges, and officers of Israel, and they presented themselves before God.
