Our Story

The Question That Started It All

Our founder was frustrated with existing Bible study tools. They were either too complicated or cost hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars for library addons. As a developer experimenting with AI, he saw an opportunity to solve this problem in a completely new way.

But, instead of building what he thought people needed, he went directly to pastors and seminary graduates with a simple question: "If you could make a Bible study tool from scratch, what would you want it to do?" Their answers became foundational to his blueprint.

Building Something That Actually Works

Every version went back to the same group for testing and honest feedback. They told him what worked, what didn't, and what was missing. Their input shaped every feature.

As the tool evolved, he found himself using it regularly for his own Bible study. It wasn't just a project anymore—it had become genuinely helpful.

The Foundation That Changes Everything

One concern kept surfacing: how do you ensure you're not relying on made-up information when studying God's word?

The solution to build a tool that has information grounded in actual search results, rather than potentially hallucinated answers. Responses can be traced back to sources, giving users complete transparency.

What started as frustration with existing tools became Lumenology, an AI-powered Bible study tool where you can actually verify information.

Our Beliefs

Our goal is to help you study the Bible responsibly with AI.

AI Is a Tool, Not a Replacement

Just as books can teach but don't replace community, we believe AI provides knowledge while the Holy Spirit, elders, and teachers provide wisdom and guidance.

Christians Should Shape Technology

We believe Christians should actively utilize and guide AI development, leveraging its vast knowledge to better understand Scripture.

Bible Study for Everyone

We believe deep Biblical study tools should be accessible and easy to use for anyone seeking to understand God's Word better.
