Now when David’s oldest brother Eliab heard him speaking to the men, his anger burned against David. “Why have you come down here?” he asked. “And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and wickedness of heart—you have come down to see the battle!”

After them, seven other cows—sickly, ugly, and thin—came up. I have never seen such ugly cows in all the land of Egypt!

O house of David, this is what the LORD says:‘Administer justice every morning,and rescue the victim of robberyfrom the hand of his oppressor,or My wrath will go forth like fireand burn with no one to extinguish itbecause of their evil deeds.

One basket had very good figs, like those that ripen early, but the other basket contained very poor figs, so bad they could not be eaten.

The prophets told you, ‘Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways and deeds, and you can dwell in the land that the LORD has given to you and your fathers forever and ever.
