Now the whole clan has risen up against your maidservant and said, ‘Hand over the one who struck down his brother, that we may put him to death for the life of the brother whom he killed. And no one considers in his heart,no one has the knowledge or insight to say,“I burned half of it in the fire,and I baked bread on its coals;I roasted meat and I ate.Shall I make something detestable with the rest of it?Shall I bow down to a block of wood?”

Then he must take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the LORD, and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense, and take them inside the veil.
