The harm they will suffer is the wages of their wickedness.They consider it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deception as they feast with you.

and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them.

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ.

to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
